A fine English Culpeper-type microscope c.1780-90

SOLD A very fine English original lacquered Culpeper-type  microscope c.1780-90 mahogany square base  supporting three scrolled legs terminating in a circular stage with spring, supporting a bulls eye lens and three shorter scrolled legs, the brass body with inner and outer sleeve whereby focussing is achieved. Microscope containing accessories including a brass fishplate, four numbered objectives, brass tweezers etc……in original oak case.
