silvered dial signed and numbered Royal Exchange London No 332. Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds and up-and-down dials, blued steel hands, lacquered  fusee with Earnshaw escapement, gimballed in brass bowl, three tier brass bound mahogany box, the middle section with vacant ivory plaque, brass handles. James McCabe (Cheapside and Royal Exchange) 1778-1811. A very fine maker. His business was continued under the same name by his sons until 1883. 20x20x22cm
